Our Story
Hooper Stonemasons was founded in 1996, and for three decades we've worked on stone in London and across the UK: creating it, restoring it, and conserving it for the buildings that need it most.
Our craftsmen have worked on some of the UK's most prestigious buildings and landmarks, from Windsor Castle to contemporary commercial developments, alongside the kind of jobs that don't always make headlines but matter just as much: a Victorian high street building brought back to standard, the carved stone surrounds on a gurdwara's façade, a mosaic surround carved and installed for a 200th anniversary.
We're proud members of the Stone Federation, and we hold ourselves to that standard on every job, whether it's a full restoration of a listed building or a single bespoke piece. Our work has been recognised across the industry, including a Sussex Heritage Trust Award in 2009 for ecclesiastical building work and a commendation from the Richmond Society.
What hasn't changed since 1996 is the approach: traditional stonemasonry skills, applied with the standards of modern craftsmanship, on every project, large or small.
